The STEFANO RICCI Luxury Wine Collection was born in 2010 in partnership with the 3 Michelin-Starred Enoteca Pinchiorri, following the idea of expanding the range of the SR Lifestyle product offering through the creation of an exclusive line of Italian wines, enriched by unique bottle designs, to the extent that they can be considered true works of art.
The project began with 750 bottles of Merlot, later flanked by wines focused on Sangiovese and international grapes. Each bottle is an artwork. The finely crafted designs have everchanging details and ornamentation in which the shapes of the bottles, graphic lines and varied characteristics are enhanced to embrace and articulate styles and volumes. There is a play of colours (black, gold and platinum), the iconic SR eagle logo used in labels that become Design, and crocodile details and finishes for exclusive boxes that complete the offer with wine glasses and decanters.
The search for perfection and continuous planning leads to evolution. Following the 2010 Gold Magnum (Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon) are a 2010 Platinum Magnum (Merlot), a 2012 Fine Paisley Magnum (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon) and a 2012 Bordolese (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon). The dream continued with “Wings” white wine (Grillo) and red wine (Sangiovese, Merlot), and, not without a pleasant surprise, Champagne. All SR wines result from in-depth research, with achievements resulting from understanding tastes and sharing objectives. The definition of the STEFANO RICCI style comes from the Tuscan Sette Ponti grapes harvested between marl, limestone, clay and sand, with a rather homogeneous structure of the soil that characterises the Chianti area. The white instead is from Sicily, and the Champagne comes from a small plot of land that smells of Pinot Noir. Call them, if you like, elective affinities.
